Learn How Seasonality Affects Your Sales
by: AllPosters.com
-
As an affiliate selling products online, you should know about seasonalitys effects on retail sales.
-
Retail sales have patterns of high and lows throughout the year. Sales at AllPosters.com tend to pick up in July through September as college students go back to school and purchase new posters for their walls. Sales then taper off a bit under November when holiday shopping begins. The strongest period for holiday shopping is from Thanksgiving (late November) until Christmas. After the holiday season, sales slow down for a few months.
-
In addition, sales might vary from month to month for other reasons such as economic conditions, trends/events such as the Olympics and major televised broadcasts (sales go down to due to decreased internet usage), and large movie releases (sales go up for sites that relate to movies).
