  Start by browsing through the How-To Articles, How-To Videos, Experts, and eBooks sections. In regards to specific affiliate programs to join, consider Amazon.com and AllPosters.com. Also consider NetShops.com which focuses on 170+ niche markets. There are many affiliate programs to choose from. It's important to pick something that you are intrested in. For example, if you are interested in photography, consider promoting photography products from Amazon.com and/or other merchants. Also consider Google AdSense as it is a possible way to monetize your website with ad revenue.

• Do you use affiliate links on AffiliateOcean.com?

  A majority (but not all) of the links on AffiliateOcean.com are affiliate links and contain our affiliate ID's. If you signup with a merchant, your links on your website would have your ID in them (not ours). AffiliateOcean.com is a real-world example of the fact that you need to seriously plan out the monetization of your website.   We have been invovled in affiliate marketing since 1999. We started as affiliates ourselves and then also moved into providing affiliates with software to enable them to more easily promote merchants' products.

• What does the name AffiliateOcean.com mean?

  It reflects the two aspects that we see about affiliate marketing. First, that the field of affiliate marketing can be daunting, especially to someone just entering the field, and that entering the field may feel like leaving a solid shore and setting sail out into a vast ocean of the unknown. And secondly, that the field of affiliate marketing is as open and vast as an ocean and offers huge potential to those who can navigate it successfully. And we think it's a cool name.
