WebMerge lets you export your database to HTML, generating static Web pages from your database content.

WebMerge is the internet equivalent of your word processor's "mail merge" function. WebMerge merges data from your datafeed file with your HTML template file to create HTML files -- one HTML file is create for each of the records in your datafeed file.

WebMerge works with any database or spreadsheet that exports in tab-delimited, Merge, or other tabular format, including FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Access, and AppleWorks. Using HTML template pages you can make with your favorite authoring tool, WebMerge makes a new HTML page from the data in each record of the exported file. WebMerge can also create index pages with links to each of the detail pages. Generated pages can be hosted on any Web server - even AOL - without the need
for a specialized database hosting solution.

You do not have to use a database file that you created yourself. A lot of merchants now offer datafeed files to their affiliates. A datafeed file is a text file that contains information about each of the products that the merchant offers, such as: product description, product image, product price, affiliate link, and other product details. The datafeed file might be formatted either as a .csv file or a .txt file with fields
delimited with comma or tab or | bar. You can use WebMerge to quickly generage HTML pages from a merchant's datafeed.
